I certainly could not have passed the exam on my first try (emphasis mine) without the course from LTS!  The textbook and instructors have managed to translate the 19 CFR and HTSUS into a language that we can all understand a little bit better.  The chapter review and previous exam questions were extremely helpful in getting the “feel” of the actual exam on a subject by subject basis.  But most of all the constant encouragement from the instructors helped keep me from giving up.

I know I wouldn't have passed the test if I hadn't taken the course at LTS.  The textbook was wonderful and provided a great quick reference.  The chapter exams, as well as the practice exams in the workbook were also a big help.  Following all that with the on-site class and then practicing on the past tests, I think, made the difference. Because I am just starting out in customs, this course has been a great benefit to my learning. I was able, just after a few weeks, to ask questions of other brokers and understand what they were talking about. Combined with the online class, I have a much better understanding of how to use the 19CFR's and HTSUS. The class was very informative and opened my mind to all I have learned over my years in this business in a different way. First, it helped me to organize my mind, my HTS, and my regs. It provided for me a new way to view our industry (i.e. day to day work vs. book applications and regulations.) Even though I did not take this class for preparation of the Customs Broker exam, but instead for a better understanding of the regulations and processes of importing/exporting required by my job as an International Logistics Specialist...I have defiantly benefited from this class. This the best course for preparing to pass the brokers exam. It has helped me fully understand the customs regulation and classification. I now understand classification and how to apply the GRI! I strongly recommend this course to anyone who is serious about taking and passing the customs exam.

This course is very straight forward and a student will get what they invest. It is taught at a college level and all material on the exam is covered.

Although this student failed to pass the Exam last October, the pre April test comments are very interesting:

LTS is not the reason I failed to pass the exam.  I was provided with excellent study materials.  I was provided with a good on-line instructor program.  I attended an extremely beneficial week-long intensive course with a good instructor.  LTS was worth the investment.  I failed to pass due to lack of proper preparation.  I am the reason I failed.  I felt good going into the exam.  I felt good leaving the exam.  I will pass.  I know where my weaknesses lie.  I know what my strengths are.

I am really glad I came to Florida to take the class. I had studied so much this summer that I thought the classroom part might not be useful. But it has been very useful!
